Plastics

Active ingredients produced or used by THOR for biostabilizers and bactericide, fungicide, algaecide formulations used in the plastic industry:

Octyl isothiazolinone – 2-n-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (OIT)

Dioctyl isothiazolinone – 4,5-dichloro-2-n-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (DCOIT) and the combinations of these compounds – with iodo propyl butyl carbamate (IPBC) and zinc pyrithione (ZnPy).

For easy processing our ACTICIDE products are marketed dissolved in various plasticizers. The formulations are not tested on animals.

OIT based

ACTICIDE PLN 5, 8, 9 or 20 (Diisononyl phthalate base)
ACTICIDE PLC 20 (in non-phthalate plasticizer)
ACTICIDE PLE 5 or 10 (epoxidized soya been oil base)
ACTICIDE PLP 5 or 45 (Diisodecyl phthalate base)
ACTICIDE PLR 20 (PVC powder generally used in technology)

DCOIT based

ACTICIDE PDP 4, 12 or 20 (Diisodecyl phthalate base)
ACTICIDE PDN 10, 20 (Diisononyl phthalate base)
ACTICIDE PDC 20 (in non phthalate plasticizer)
ACTICIDE PDE 20 (epoxidized soya bean oil base)
ACTICIDE PDR 20

Products generally used in PVC:

ACTICIDE PLN 9 (indoor application and moderate damage to the environment)
ACTICIDE PDP 4

Various Aflamman® THOR products recommended as flame retardants for plastics.
The active ingredient is a polyphosphate or polyphosphonate derivative.
